Dempsey Pencil Test

This one is for Tal and Looney Moon!

Here's a pencil test for another homegrown toon, nurtured with sunlight and love. Something to tantalize your tastebuds hopefully. Do you guys like to see progress work, or would you rather wait until it's all nice and polished? Just curious on other people's take...

Its great to know that there are people out there making animated cartoons that are actually cartoony, with a pencil.

Well, you mentioned my name so I suppose I must comment. It looks fucking awesome, man...Why the hell would we just want to see the polished, final work? I'd much rather see this.

Now allow me to be a douche for a moment (or for as long as you wish big boy -wink- wink-). The only thing that bothered me was when he jumps up to change direction. He appears to just float in one spot. It'd probably be better if he was closer to ground and continued sliding from the momentum. Or you could also have him slide off frame and add all sorts of cool sound effects (glass breaking, cat screeching). I know its rough and all, but it was the only thing that popped out at me. Sorry for the long comment. Douche, over and out.

Looney: Good old fashioned tree killin animation is the only way to go these days! I agree and I'm glad you like!

Tal: Damn, your comment was long. I skimmed it. Hahaha, kidding. I can't read. Anyhoo, I totally agree with you. When he jumps, he just kinda stays in place. When I clean it up, I'm probably gonna throw a little arc on that jump. That'll be much easier to composite than it would be to draw each frame in a subtle arc.

Great minds think alike.
