As some of you may know I've spent the last 9 months producing a short for Nickelodeon.
They gave me the awesome opportunity to take on every challenge in completing a cartoon. And today it all came to a close when I found this beauty sitting on my doorstep.
The glorious contents
Without haste I rushed to play it in my DVD player...
only to discover this shocking message.
Agggh!
Wait a sec, the big screen.
Taa-daaa!
A-tut-tut not so fast there pal. No peeking!
The cartoon is being sent to film festivals worldwide as we speak and might end up on the Nickelodeon website or even TV so you'll just have to wait till then or just ask me to see it. I've currently have a couple of secret projects in development and hopefully the executives at Nick will like this one but until then I can look foreward to my new job. Also, be sure to check back over the next few weeks as I'll be documenting the creation of the cartoon right here on this very blog so stay tuned for all of the epic tales of tragic defeat and gut busting victory!

i'd like to see it if possible
where did you get the funding to produce this short? did nick pay you or did you use your own money?
Hey Ryan,
Sean and I both received funding and facilities from Nickelodeon to produce these shorts. Another of our friends, Mike Williams ( http://thethoseguys.blogspot.com ) was funded too!
It's part of a contest that they've been running for two years now. Last year, they selected winners from Cal Arts, and this year from Cal State Fullerton.
We were given a modest production budget, and then access to voice actors, composers, sound fx guys, mixers, etc. We got to work with Nickelodeon producers and go through the whole process.
Your pal,
Chris
